Using a model (PLISSIT or Recognition), and considering the four areas of sexual concern, develop a plan that addresses the specific diagnosis, age, and concerns of the following clients. Also discuss who might be involved in their care using a team approach:
1. A woman, age 72, with a total hip replacement and arthritis who is interested in continuing sex with her partner.
2. A 65-year-old man with congestive heart failure who is very concerned about continuing his sexual relationship with his 55-yearold wife.
3. A 70-year-old man post right cerebrovascular accident who is experiencing both sensory changes (decreased sensation on the left side, decreased left visual field) and decreased endurance. Despite these, he wishes to maintain an intimate relationship with his wife of more than 50 years
“Has your partner included all the necessary information, given his/her purpose and audience? What information, if any, is still needed?
Has your partner chosen a good document design? Does it look professional and reflect well on the author and his/her organization?
Is the information presented in a logical order? Are headings used to help readers find information? Does your partner use transitions effectively?
Discuss the clarity of your partner’s writing. For example, does he/she define terms for the reader?
Discuss the overall progress of your partner’s writing. How much of the final project is complete? What areas need to be completed?
What are some effective techniques or strengths that the writer is doing well?
